Jim has developed his sound from the bar rooms and saloons of
Western Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh. He received his musical
Baptism from such local legends as Billy Price, Norm Nardini, the
Clarks, Rusted Root and the SPUDS. Jim has a play list that includes an
eclectic mix of music from Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, The Beatles,
Bob Dylan, to more contemporary acts such as Marcy’s Playground,
Three Doors Down and the Bare Naked Ladies.
His original
songs are the result of a very broad interest in music, mixing
Country Western, Blues, R&B, Soul, Rock and Roll and Alternative
genres. “I believe that a song should tell a story, whether it be
humorous, emotional or topical.” And Jim’s music is all of that.
From the subtle irony and humor of “Pop and Crack” to the emotion
driven “All Together, All Alone” he tries to reach each and every
one of us in some way or other.
His essence is
really captured in his live shows, full of energy, humor and just
good old fashioned entertainment. “I’m not the best guitar player
and I’m far from the best singer, but I’d just like every person to
leave my show with the notion that they had a good time. I guess
that would categorize me best, good time, party music.” |
